The Scout
The Scout follows a film crew, who are about to make horror history. Just not in the way they intended. They want to make the next Blair Witch, or Paranormal Activity, spending as little as possible, to make a killing. Their movie ”Don’t Stray From the Path” is about a couple running away from a hooded killer in the woods. It’s minimal in story, effects, cast, and therefore, budget.
What they need, is an authentic run-down ranch where they can shoot the finale of the film. They find one, and more.
The owner of the ranch, who calls himself Darrel B. Frankenheimer, is a horror-enthusiast, more than willing to let the crew shoot in his ranch. In fact, he wants to make horror history himself…
The crew is drugged, kidnapped, and imprisoned in the basement. They are about make horror history alright, but different movie.
