In the game, you join the AI Deep Red in its mission to crush a brewing rebellion threatening the Communist megacity on Mars—by solving a series of increasingly devious chess puzzles.
Chess isn’t just a gimmick in our universe—it’s core to the mythology. Deep Red, the malevolent artificial intelligence ruling New Moscow, was built from the circuitry of an old Soviet chess computer. Every move, every plan, every purge… it all starts on the board.
